Organ Music

Hymn playing is the core business for most organists, and a significant amount of organ music is based on hymn/chorale melodies. I have composed a number of chorale preludes and meditations on public domain hymn tunes, several of which have appeared in print in Lorenz Corporation bi-monthly magazines 'The Organist' and 'The Sacred Organ Journal'. One piece has appeared in The Organist’s Companion, a bi-monthly journal of quality organ music published by Wayne Leupold, North Carolina, USA

I was fortunate to be commissioned by Professor Marilyn Mason, Michigan University, to compose a set of variations for volume 7 of the Marilyn Mason Music Library published by MorningStar Music, Missouri, USA. I chose the traditional Irish tune ‘Slane’ and composed variations which make reference to other Irish and American folk tunes. Professor Mason describes my music as 'excellent'.
